From the current Contract: It is the purpose of these parties
in entering this Agreement to promote high standards of education
in the CSU. The CSU shall support the pursuit of excellence and
academic freedom in teaching, research, and learning through the
free exchange of ideas among the faculty, students, and
staff.
This section contains the complete language of the contract
ratified by the CFA membership and the CSU Board of Trustees, as

Note: Although the current contract expired on June 30, 2010, the
terms and conditions of that contract stay in full force and
effect until the parties have reached a successor agreement or
negotiations have resulted in impasse.
